Survey Shows Using Sex Toys with a Partner Improves Sexual Communication

A recent survey of 2,000 Americans, 1,800 who are sexually active, revealed that partners who use sex toys together communicate better with their partner about sex. That’s good because the same survey showed that too many of us don’t know how to get our partner off or how to have the conversation.

Let’s start with faking orgasms. Yes, it continues to thrive, according to this survey with women faking an average of 39 orgasms a year and 40 percent of respondents saying they’ve never had an orgasm.

Fifty percent of men said they don’t know enough about their partner’s needs to give them an orgasm, while 36 percent of women said the same. Half of those surveyed said they want to give their partner more pleasure but don’t know how, while 54 percent want to make sex better with their partner but don’t know how to do it. Importantly, 53 percent want to have a conversation about having better sex but they haven’t because they don’t want to hurt their partner’s feelings.

This is where sex toys come in. The survey found that 34 percent of people use sex toys to masturbate while 38 percent use a sex toy with their partner. Nearly three-quarters of respondents said they’re more likely to orgasm when they use a sex toy. Even better, 75 percent of people who use sex toys with a partner say it makes communication better.

The answer is clear — use sex toys with your partner for more orgasms and better communication!
