First Virtual Folsom Street Fair Will Be Hosted by Margaret Cho
The Folsom Street Fair, a famous and infamous, kink celebration event held annually in San Francisco is going virtual for the first time in its history, thanks to COVID-19. Comedian Margaret Cho, known for her sex-positive humor, is slated to be the host this year.
The Folsom Street Fair, organized by Folsom Street Events, celebrates the leather, kink, and BDSM communities, typically with around 400,000 attendees physically attending the San Francisco event. This year, they’re streaming the event on the weekend of September 27. Other hosts include Alotta Boutte, a cabaret and burlesque sensation, and previous winner of the Mr. San Francisco Leather competition, Lance Holman.
Part of the online festivities will include submitted videos from kinksters located around the world including short films, demonstrations, performances, and the sharing of kinky talents. As in years past, a suggested charitable donation of around $15 is requested at the virtual “fair gates” to attend.
If you’ve always dreamed of attending Folsom Street Fair but couldn’t get to San Francisco, this could be your chance.
